2nd Annual Reagan Day Gala
Please join us for our fundraiser gala to support local Republicans who promote our party values as exemplified by the great Ronald Reagan. Our keynote speaker is Terry McCurdy. In celebration of America’s 250th birthday, the topic for the evening is “Religious Liberty through the LDS Experience.” Religious liberty is one of the fundamental rights we enjoy as citizens. However, history has taught us that in the late nineteenth century religious litmus tests were used to disenfranchise Mormon voters in Idaho. Revisiting history and learning from the past is important because certain groups in Idaho today want to impose religious litmus tests for those seeking public office in Idaho. We must learn from the past and reject attempts to limit religious liberty, one of the core components of our First Amendment rights under the United States Constitution.

Our guest speakers will be Chenele Dixon and she will do an in-depth analysis of HB 93 which passed this last legislative session. HB 93 is a $50 million program that created a refundable tax credit to subsidize private schooling. Special interest groups have expressed interest in expanding the size of the program in 2026. Please grab a friend (or two) and bring them with you as we dive into this legislation and how it impacts our schools and communities across the Magic Valley. Monthly Meeting
Our January 2025 monthly meeting will be at the Depot Grill in the Caboose Room. Our speaker will be Julie Koyle who will talk to us about her efforts to transform the Hollister School into a charter school. Grant Loebs will also give us a brief recap of the IDGOP winter meeting that happened earlier this month. We will be holding a book drive to collect books for the Hollister Charter School this meeting and the February meeting.
